Learning a language is pretty much like learning to drive, but a bit more fun

Tea

Hi everyone, I'm Tea!

CELTA certified • IELTS 8.0

My dream is simple: help everyone learn whatever they want, in the most effective and time-efficient way.

I was never an excellent student by conventional standards. Didn't get into specialized schools, didn't win scholarships or top the class.

That's why I deeply understand how learning can completely change someone's life. I believe knowledge only has real value when it can be applied to create change, helping yourself and others.

I THINK

"Learning English is not hard at all. It's just like learning to drive."

Learning is not just about understanding but about being able to do. Some say you just need to be able to do it, no theory needed. Others believe you must master theory first before applying. But why not both?

In high school, I was 'uncooperative' not because I hated learning or teachers, but simply because that method of learning was ineffective. I believe learning needs to be optimized, focused on what's truly useful.

In recent years, English has been 'mystified', causing unnecessary pressure on learners. For me, English should return to its true nature: a normal skill that anyone can master.

At this little home of mine - this website - what will you learn?

01

Explain common misconceptions

"I've heard people say..." - Unfortunately, when it comes to teaching and learning English, there's a lot of talk. But among all that noise are misconceptions that can hold you back for years, even decades. I'll explain clearly what's right and what's wrong, which learning tips are truly well-founded and effective, and which are just media hype designed to sell products - or folk wisdom that seems harmless but wastes your precious time.

CELTA-standard methods

How I and my students practice speaking, writing, listening so every hour of study produces real results. Based on Cambridge's CELTA method - tried and tested for decades.
